13. Assembly meeting
On 21 and 22 April 2021, ZeMA – Centre for Mechatronics and Automation Technology gGmbH organised the 13th Assembly conference as an online event.
The conference was a virtual meeting place for decision makers, planners and developers from production and engineering. The focus was on applications, technologies and approaches for the digital transformation of industry, but also on strategic topics such as the use of hydrogen for emission-free mobility. In lectures, the use of artificial intelligence, 5G, assistance systems, human-robot cooperation and the agile factory organization were discussed.
“We invited prominent representatives from leading industrial companies to our online meeting to present and discuss the latest developments and trends in production. The use of new technologies and the continuous improvement of production and company processes secure existing jobs and guarantee that Germany can maintain its leading economic role in Europe and the world", says Prof. Dr.-Ing. Rainer Müller, Scientific Director of ZeMA.
The participants were also offered a virtual exhibition in this year's online format. Companies presented their products and developments and exchanged views virtually with visitors to the stand.
Networking was also not neglected – in programme items such as the network carousel, participants, speakers and exhibitors got to know each other. If the time at the network carousel was too short for you, you had the opportunity to arrange online appointments to deepen topics and make sustainable contacts.
Next year, the conference will go into its 14th edition, whether in presence or again as an online format, will still show up. In 2022, the meeting will take place on 4 and 5 May.
