On Friday, 14.11.25, this year's TraSaar annual event took place in the Aula Sulzbach under the theme "The Saarland in Industrial Transformation – Challenges, Impacts and Opportunities".
The event offered an exciting lecture by Keyspeaker and futurologist Jan Berger, Founder and CEO of Themis Foresight Berlin entitled ‘From structural change to structural power’. A variety of impulses were given to how the Saarland, despite all the challenges, could emerge stronger from the current transformation process.
You can read Mr. Berger's speech at https://trasaar.saarland/ Dowloading.
Afterwards the moderator invited Louisa Schlang, which was named the best young presenter nationwide in 2022, to the panel discussion, which followed on from Berger's lecture. Marco Rupprecht (DGB – German Trade Union Confederation & Revierwende Saarland district), Carsten Kien (Soft Skills Engineer, Coach & Trainer) and Roman Quirin (Managing Director of DILEB Mechanical Engineering) took part in this discussion alongside Berger and discussed the topic from different angles.
In addition, Cluster Manager Gunter Maier gave a review of 4 years of TraSaar with extensive project results as well as a presentation of the training portal Saarland by the Saarland Chamber of Labour, represented by Chief Executive Officer Thomas Otto, Simone Bubel and Magnus Barth.
In the course of the event, we were able to present our project results of the Sub-project 3 – Automation and digitalisation, Subproject 4 – Hydrogen and fuel cell and Subproject 5 – Battery production and recycling Introduce and discuss. Further information and project reports can be found here.
We would like to thank all project partners for the good cooperation.
