Visit to the Saarland Chamber of Labour

On 7 October 2021, a group of almost 15 works councillors visited ZeMA as part of an excursion by the Saarland Chamber of Labour. The excursion took place under the theme ‘Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation’. After a short presentation of the ZeMA with its various research fields, the lecture ‘An introduction to artificial intelligence’ provided basics, terminology and an overview of the current state of the art as well as application examples. In the following tour, application examples for artificial intelligence in production as well as for digital transformation were shown. Finally, the advantages and disadvantages were discussed.
