On 12 February 2026, the Interreg project was launched. GreenFab on ZeMA. Together with the Environmental campus Birkenfeld, the Institut en Innovation Logistique (I2L) and the University of Luxembourg GreenFab supports SMEs in the Greater Region on their way to a resource-efficient circular economy.
Sustainable production and logistics solutions are tested in 40 practical application scenarios, complemented by an AI-supported matching platform. The ‘Test before Invest’ approach and, together with the TÜV Saarland developed sustainability metrics ensure high practical relevance. The project runs from 2026 to 2028 and is supported by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) co-financed.
