Roadshow Robotix Academy 2020
On 10 November 2020, the Robotix Academy again a roadshow with the partners in the Greater Region: Academic staff and students from five different universities – Saarland University (UdS) and the Universities of Luxembourg, Liège and Lorraine, as well as the Birkenfeld Environmental Campus – participated in the event. In addition, external participants from various industrial companies were present, such as the companies ZF Friedrichshafen AG from Saarbrücken and the FESTO Learning Center St. Ingbert. Due to the current hygiene rules to contain the COVID-19 pandemic, the event took place this year with around a dozen participants as an online event.

At the Robotix-Academy Roadshow, students, users, equipment suppliers and other interested parties can bring themselves up to date with the latest research, exchange knowledge and work together on predefined questions. Various workshops on the topics of robotics, artificial intelligence and robot programming were offered. Speakers were the scientific staff of the Robotix Academy of the individual research bases.
The aim of the event is to arouse interest in robotics among young scientists and possibly to attract other participants to the Robotix Academy research cluster. This year, too, the outcome of the event is positive and, despite the coronavirus outbreak, the demand for further in-depth workshops is unmistakable among the above-mentioned.
