KOMATRA - Competence Center for Work Research
problem
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Saar-Palatinate region, especially in the key sectors of automotive and medicine, are confronted with the challenge of asserting themselves in a fast-paced economic and ecological landscape. Accelerated technological change and increasing regulatory requirements in the area of environmental protection and sustainability are putting pressure on many of these companies. The urgent need to effectively adapt to the digital and sustainable economy is compounded by a lack of necessary resources and knowledge for a self-sufficient transformation.
objective
The KOMATRA project aims to support SMEs in the automotive and medical sectors by providing them with the necessary tools and knowledge to sustainably transform their business models and promote a value-oriented working culture. The main objective is to strengthen the resilience and competitiveness of these companies and improve their ability to proactively respond to market challenges and develop innovative solutions.
approach
KOMATRA focuses on the development and provision of specialized information, qualification and networking services that are precisely tailored to the needs of the automotive and medical industries. The project carries out pilot actions in selected companies to demonstrate practical solutions and best practices. In addition, a transformation navigator will be developed to serve as a knowledge and resource database to facilitate knowledge transfer between the companies involved. A competence centre for labour research will be set up to act as a focal point for the SMEs involved, providing comprehensive support in the form of advice and training.
